On August 13, 2022 the Sydney Intergroup became the Australian Intergroup after constitutional amendments were approved. This was after a year long process consulting with the national fellowship. All groups nationally, either in-person or virtual, are now able to participate in the Australian Intergroup.
The Victorian Intergroup initiated this process when it proposed to merge with the Sydney Intergroup to create a national intergroup.
Any SLAA member may attend Intergroup. However only Intergroup Representatives, appointed by SLAA groups, and Intergroup office-holders are eligible to vote.
The Intergroup WhatsApp group is where Intergroup Meeting agendas and minutes are circulated. Intergroup Representatives and interested members are invited to join the WhatsApp Group by emailing slaaaustralia@gmail.com.
Next Intergroup meeting is Saturday September 10 at Noon, AEST.
More information about Intergroup functions and services can be found on the Intergroup webpage.
