Meeting time zone conversion can be confusing. Daylight Saving begins and ends on a wide variety of dates around the world. When attending a meeting based in a different time zone your local time for that meeting may change up to 4 times a year!
Example: you are in the southern hemisphere, attending a meeting based in the northern hemisphere, the meeting time changes 4 times throughout a year.
- when your time zone starts daylight saving
- when meeting time zone ends daylight saving
- when your time zone ends daylight saving
- when meeting time zone begins daylight saving
Australian Meeting Calendar
One feature of the upgraded Australian meeting calendar is that if you are in a different time zone to a meeting, the time is automatically converted to the time zone on your device.
This example shows this Perth Meeting in Sydney/Melbourne time. This meeting is at 7pm Perth time

Meeting Webpage
When a meeting is a different time zone to your device, the Meeting webpage will show the meeting time in both:
- the time zone on your device
- the time where the meeting is based, in brackets/parentheses. ( )

Time Zones in Emails
Some zoom meetings use email to communicate with new or regular members. Listing multiple time zones for a meeting may require regular updating throughout the year to remain accurate.
Using a link or a button, linked to your meeting page, provides the current time zone conversion for all. This should produce an accurate time zone conversion anywhere in the world, at any time of year.
