Since mid 2025, SLAA Australian Intergroup has been transitioning from an unincorporated association to an Incorporated Association. The September 14, 2026 Intergroup meeting voted to approve the final stages of this transition.
NSW Fair Trading advised on September 29, 2026, that the recent constitutional amendments “appears, on its face, to comply with the requirements of the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (Act). Accordingly, the change to the objects/constitution has been registered today and takes effect from the date of this letter.” This means that SLAA Australian Intergroup is now legally the SLAA Australian Intergroup Inc.
