Intergroup Service Opportunities

The December 10, 2022 elections for service roles, for the new newly formed Australian Intergroup, elected members to service roles from Darwin, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. Some positions remain vacant:

  • Secretary – currently temporarily filled till February 2023
  • Events Co-ordinator – planning and organising ZOOM events
  • Public Information

New Men’s Zoom Meeting Tuesday 6.30pm AET

This 90 minute meeting was the existing Rushcutter’s Bay meeting that moved online during Covid, and then began as a new meeting when the in-person meeting resumed in August 2022.

This meeting encourages supporting the newcomer, healing fellowship, safe sharing, sponsorship and tools for working an effective SLAA program. No sobriety requirement for sharing.

Week 1 – Meditation meeting
Week 2 & 3 – Reading
Week 4/5 – Speaker meeting (Hybrid with Rushcutters Bay Face to Face meeting)

Intergroup Service Positions Election December 10

All positions on the Australian Intergroup are for a one year term. Requirements for all positions include

  • regular attendance at Australian SLAA meetings (in person or virtual)
  • a minimum 3 months self-defined sobriety
  • resident in Australia
  • not holding a service position in another Intergroup
